Not a care in the world...

AG at the pool with his Aunt Meg.

As you can see AG's living it up here at Seacrest Beach. AG did well on the drive down and enjoyed his big boy car seat. After we stopped in Dothan for gas we put on his Baby Einstein Lullaby CD and hoped he would crash out. Within minutes we had a sleeping baby, however, when we came around the bend in Ebro (they are known for their dog track racing) Andy decided that he wanted to listen to the satellite radio. Well, AG had other plans! He woke up and reminded his Daddy that Baby Einstein was the key to his successful slumber in the car. So Baby Einstein came back on and off to sleep went our little man for the last 30 minutes of the trip.

We gave Granddad his Father's Day present a week early. We all went in together and bought him a Wii. (Back story...at our annual Christmas party with our family friends the Wests and the Browns my Dad had his first encounter with a Wii. He even asked my mom if he could take her present back and get her a Wii. So we decided to surprise him with one.) Well, the Wii has been in full swing. AG has enjoyed watching everyone play. AG's Uncle Costello even said he's taking up Wii Racing full time! Looks like the Wii is the new Spades for our family. (For years Spades has been the dominating form of evening entertainment complete with continual trash talk from year to year.)

Sunday and Monday we took AG to the pool. Hopefully, we'll get AG out to the beach either today or tomorrow. AG is loving all the attention from his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. We've taken a ton of pictures but I forgot my cord to upload with so any photos you see this week are from Andy's iPhone. I'll create a HUGE slideshow when we return. Tonight we are going to try and meet up with Rob and Erika so we can meet Miss Hannah Caroline. We are having a great week hope you are too.

Lastly, AG's future best friend Jacob finally arrived Sunday night! Weighing in at 9 lbs 5.9 oz and 22 inches long. Here is a picture of AG and Jacob together at Christmas. AG was 36 weeks and Jacob was 20 weeks.

AG is beach bound...

Beach...here we come. AG trying out his new towel.
(Andy snapped this with his phone so I'm sorry the quality is not the best...but this picture makes me laugh anyways.)

I love my boys! We are blessed to have a great family pup.

Mommy is a slacker...

So, I've been a slacker these last two weeks with updating! Forgive me! Things have been crazy since AG's surgery at the end of the month. I did a long slideshow of what we have been up to...dinner with friends, Memorial Day in Gwinnett, First Friday Concert in downtown Rome listening to The Beatless, and adventures around the house.

AG had his check-up and vaccines this week. Little Man did great and was quite the ham for his Dr. and her staff. He weighed 16lbs and 2.8 oz on the day of surgery two weeks ago. At his appointment on Tuesday he weighed in at 16lbs and 15.4 oz. He's also 26.5 inches long. AG is getting bigger every day. Looks like we are going to go ahead and make the switch to his big boy car seat this week. He's almost too big for the infant seat plus we want him to be comfortable for our big car trip this weekend to the beach. We are headed to Kennesaw with AG's friend Ella today to pick up his seat at Babies R'Us and have lunch. We have lots to do between now and Saturday to get ready for the beach. It all get done and we are looking forward to a great week at the beach with family and visiting with friends. Hopefully, I'll get in a blog or two at the beach but if not I'm sure there will be lots to write upon our return.

Other than the beach the next big project after that will be starting on remodeling the kitchen! We've been talking everything out this week with the contractor and I can't wait to see the final results. It'll be challenge to not have a kitchen for a week or two but it will be worth it in the end. Once we start be on the look out for pictures.

How many fingers can one mouth hold?

So Andy decided to copy AG and this was the end result.
