Ready for College Football...

College football. If you live in the south it's really a way of life and the Edwards household is no exception. Thankfully, I love college football just as much as my husband and look forward to watching football all weekend long in the fall. And now that we are season ticket holders I enjoy spending several Saturdays in the fall on a date with my sweet husband in Athens. Anyways, to kick off the return of college football Chick-fil-A hosted a Father/Son night. Andy took AG and he had an absolute ball. He came home with a football game and a new cow for his collection of 'moo-cows'. He also was not happy about having to take off his 'eye black' for bed. We promised him we'd get him some more for football season with special supers G's on it. Anyways, here's a few pictures after they got home. I'm so grateful for Andy and the relationship he is building with our son. Little things like this matter and have a lasting impression even at this tender age.

Well, we are off to the farm for the weekend. I'm looking forward to being with family for the weekend at one of our favorite places. On Saturday, Andy and I are going to drive to Athens for the game and leave the kids with Nanny for a half day. Then on Sunday the Hornsbys are driving over from Macon for the day. We are excited to show them the farm and have a day to relax together. Andy's sister, Caroline, and her family will also be driving over from Macon that day. Should be a fun day and I am sure the kids will have a blast swimming and visiting the cows. I know AG will sleep like a rock that night. :) Happy Labor Day Weekend to all. Can't believe August has come and gone...this year is just flying by.

Newest member of the family...

AG is quite a fanatic when it comes to the Braves and Chick-fil-A. Well, this last year he has taken to playing with my collection of CFA cows. ( I collected several in high school and college from working there.) He usually sets up a cow with a Coke bottle and his foam letter T. The T represents a tomahawk...quite the imagination this one has. (That and his parents need to get him a real foam tomahawk this spring!) He sets everything up when he plays baseball and he is always Chipper Jones or Brian McCann. Over the last few months he kept telling us he needed a bigger Moo-Cow. Well, my Dad  use to be a Chick-fil-A operator for years and he still does some with the company even though he is no longer an operator. I told Dad that if there was any way he could come up with a large Moo-Cow his favorite red-headed grandson would be forever grateful...

AG was overjoyed and immediately told Andy that the cow needed to do the chop! While Andy was chopping AG was saying, in his best announcers voice, " Do the Chop! Eat Chikin!" Ha.

I need to upload the photo of him snuggled in to his twin bed a the mountain house with his new BFF. It's hysterical. Anyways, Moo-Cow is an official member of the family. These days he splits his time between AG's bed and sitting up on AG's kitchen. (He likes for him to sit up high just like the cow at the stadium. He makes Andy and I laugh with his attention to detail at such a young age.) Here's Moo-Cow hangin' out at the 'Stadium' and the picture below it is all the 'friends at the stadium to see the Moo-Cow.'

Apparently the friends missed the Exit for Bethlehem.

Thanks Ga-Da-Da for the newest member of our fimily. (That's what Meghan called it when she was little!) I'm sure there will be lots of Moo-Cow related posts in our future and lots of sweet memories.
